Death toll already up to 67 and this hasn't even made landfall yet. It's looking bad all the way from Antique to Zamboanga and even here in Cebu.

It breaks my heart to read these words. My family is located throughout the Philippines, and I'm naturally always concerned whenever a cyclone threatens the region. And I'm always concerned with everyone's well being as well. The topography in the Phillipines adds another level of hazards with landslides, flash flooding, etc. due the mountain terrain, and so forth...I am hoping this system will pass quickly, and with no more loss of life.

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

Looking better organized? If I'm not mistaken, the forecast calls for the cyclone to landfall as a Tropical Storm?

The storm is not yet over, but looking at the damages and death toll so far, I have a feeling that PAGASA will request the retirement of "Nalgae". The local name "Paeng" will certainly get retired.

I am by no means a professional. DO NOT look at my forecasts for official information or make decisions based on what I post.

Nalgae is a rare TC for Southern China in November.
