Fun fact: The name Arlene is the most frequently used name for Atlantic storms.

With Arlene 2023 almost certainly not getting retired, this fact will live on for another 6 years or more.

Arlene doesn't even appear to qualify as a depression any longer. Convectionless swirl. Bones makes his first appearance of the season.

And the streak moves to 22 years since an A storm has been retired. The last - Allison.

I almost wrote this off becoming a storm and then it ended up surprising me by becoming Arlene! Pretty weird storm especially going straight south in the GoM in JUNE of all months. Looks like it’s dead now though as it’s nothing more then a naked swirl.

Looking better tonite than it did when it was a TS..but that does not say much.

Im expecting so e heavy squalls here in Key West from the remnant low tonight through tomorrow.
