WPAC SSTs and heat content and you get WPAC systems, I guess.

At this trajectory, I don't think it's going to come onto the Yucatan. It looks to moving through the gap...

I literally have been stalking for so long on here and not logging in that I had to reset my password because I forgot it...just so I could say...you are not the only one who thought that. When I saw the earlier graphic, I literally said outloud...dang that pic looks like an ultrasound of a fetus.

Edit.. Sorry...it seems I have forgotten how to reply to a specific comment.

It's 1.5c to 2c above average, and it runs deep. That's a lot of energy.Image

Shrimpin it up, a classic look of a storm rapidly intensifying

It looks weirdly like a fetus to me

Doesn’t though more like a baby in the womb than a shrimp

That’s wild. Not a spot in the tropical Atlantic with below normal or even near normal SSTs.

I guess during the past 2-3 hours the LLC has been meandering around probably tracking to align itself with the MLC.

Looks like major moisture vacuum!! You can see it all the way around . This is going to be a big powerful storm with effects felt a long way from the center once in the Gulf. I remember seeing something pages back about Hellene taking up the whole Gulf . Really hoping this doesn't happen.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I think this will finally be the storm to change the cone to a wider error percentage. I flew on a plane to Tampa today and people were mostly nonchalant thinking Tampa would be spared with hardly any impact. I think the magnitude of the storm surge coming to the west coast is going to catch a lot of people off guard.

The general public perception remains that the cone is an impacts cone.

So do we think Helene will possibly be the worst hurricane to ever hit Tallahassee?

I think this will give Opal a run for her money in the ATL Metro

Haven’t heard anyone say that and honestly impossible to determine until after the fact.

For Georgia, this could rival or exceed Zeta around Birmingham and/or Opal over SE AL/GA.
