it's not stalled... NHC just released report saying she's moving
6mph... land fall should be before dark... JMHO

well according to that, since it was 35 miles away at 3pm, it would landfall 5.8 hours from then, which means after dark unless it speeds up.

the radar shows the dry air intrusion that the nhc has been referencing for sometime now.......it has reached the core (from the east and north) leaving a big dry pocket (no, its not a huge eye).

It's obvious now no rapid development will occur.

It is also moving towards the coast faster than they predicted.

I fully expect gusts in excess of 100 mph at time of landfall......and won't be surprised if 100 mph sustained is attained.

no way it gets to 100 mph

Something I've learned over the past three decades researching Atlantic hurricanes.......NEVER underestimate the Gulf Stream offshore southeast Florida......especially regarding a slowly moving TS or hurricane.

FYI.....I said 100 mph sustained wouldn't shock me......I DID NOT say it was likely (but 80-90 sustained gusting to 100 mph+ is a good bet IMHO)...

The people who really need to eat crow were the ones calling for rapid intensification for the last 24 hours.

That quote reminds me of that "Simpsons" episode with Alex Trebec from "Jeopardy," when Marge goes on the show. By the end, she has a negative score of $3000 or something, and Alex says she owes them the money.

Alex then says, "Judges?" and these two huge burly guys come out of the shadows. The family flees, of course.

why?
I seem to remember 50mph at 8am. let's just say (for your sake that is) that they only upgrade to 75mph next advisory... hmm... 25mph in 9 hours... I dont think thats low enough to require crow for those that said rapid development... and say... might be 80mph next advisory...
