Don't know exactly how bad. But, the news said there was a lot of massive flooding in that area. I know the area pretty well. My grandparents used to live in Long Beach. They just moved to Picayune about a year ago, and we are very worried about the conditions there as well.

Information is extremely limited from this area, which always is a bad sign. I am very concerned about what may be found.

I live in Pass Christian about 3 or 4 blocks off the beach but north of the train tracks.. We evacuated yesterday (thankfully).. I was glad to see that my neighborhood seemed empty..

I'd appreciate any reports from the area as well.. I'm hoping for the best but fearing the worst.. I'm pretty certain I'm not gonna have much, if anything, left when I get back..

I too have relatives who evacuated from Long Beach unfortunately because my cousin works at the airport and couldn't leave until 6 pm they only evaced to Ocean Springs and I haven't heard from them yet. You might try posting on the Sun-Hearld site. http://www.sunherald.com

According to an insurance agent in Long Beach, everything south of 2nd St. is gone. Catastrophic damage south of the railroad tracks. Very bad news!

Hey BC. We lost power here in Starkville for about three hours and I haven't been able to look at the things you sent. Please let us know if you hear from Frank P. :( Still can't get through to Stennis or Sheila. I am going to PM you my parent's home phone.
