Yeah. You're right! Vassar is in Poughkeepsie. Not as bad as weather at Cornell which is in Ithaca, no? (I was very tired and I guess my brain was fried when I posted.) Poughkeepsie is a lot milder.
As you may have guessed, my experience of Cornell/Ithaca was that it was always cold and always snowy and icy. I was a child when I lived there and it left lasting memories of a sort of endless winter. I associate the two places, I guess because we moved from one to the other, but Poughkeepsie did not prepare me for Ithaca.
