If I live in Jupiter and I have bedroom windows facing both east and west, before the eye passes which side of the house will get the most wind. I suppose this does a 180 after the eye passes. Thanks in advance.

Kicking up to strong TS sustained now.

Another 10 knots and this will be worse than the strongest winds we got from Katrina here.

starting to flicker...

#270 Postby Weatherboy1 » Mon Oct 24, 2005 6:31 am

power starting to flicker at my house here in Jupiter and the winds/rain are really picking up. Radar shows the strongest bands are going to be here very soon (next half hour). This will probably be it for my posting here. Everone stay safe. I'll be back on when I can.

I'm in C.S. too.

I woke up hearing the winds at 6:30.

Damn storm is wrecking my favorite tree, which has survived all the rest of the 'canes.

Bah.

Power fluctuating badly now ... just had a 10 second outage or so.

Getting up in the range of hurricane force gusts, sustained winds are mid to high end TS force.

Still SSE, close to S.

Wow ... big gust ... tree in the parking lot which got through Katrina just fine literally blew apart into pieces.

Buildings next door losing roof tiles. Thankfully, this building is a fortress.

Power keeps coming back on - thought for sure it was out for the long term this time.

OK, looks like the power is out for good this time. Going to shut down some servers. I may have half an hour to an hour of backup time before I'm offline completely.
