Dinner at the In laws last night, they had Chicken Casserole thing with ritz crackers on top, so good. With brown rice, grn beans, carrots, salad and a roll. Dessert was cocoanut cake, and 2 different kinds of merigue pies, peanut butter and lemon.

I was very good last night. I made a spinach salad with turkey bacon, orange segments and topped it with almonds. Put a few dabs of poppyseed dressing on it too.

I'm having chicken salad with grapes, celery, green pepper, almonds, hot pepper relish and a tiny bit of mayo.

Pburgh and alicia-w, those meals sound delicious. Thanks for the dinner ideas!

arkess7, I just love multi grain bread -- with any kind of topping: B&B spread, natural peanut butter, even EVOO (as Rachel Ray would say).

I went grocery shopping after work, so we actually have "real food" in the house again! Tonight was Jennie-O pre-marinated turkey breast (applewood smoke flavor), Country Crock cheddar mashed potatoes, Birdseye baby peas, and spinach salad. I also made a single crust apple cinnamon pie with almond pastry filling mixed in. It needs to cool a bit before we can cut into it. :D

Is Carabba's good? They're building one right near my house.

:uarrow:
Excellent Italian food -- fantastic bread w/olive oil + herbs -- very reasonable prices, casual or dressy, date or family, always crowded (the one closest to us always is); yummy Italian sangria and Bellini's, too!
