The numbers will change at 7:00 PM EST to coincide with 00:00z time.After the 2nd of April which is the start of daylight savings time the change will be at 8:00 PM EDT.

Important dates prior to June 1:

1-March 15=Official Storm2k forecast Numbers Poll will start.

2- March 17=ST Patrick's Day.

3- March 20=Official Start of Spring (Vernal Equinox) at 1:26 PM EST.

4- April 2=Daylight Savings Time begins.

5-April 4=Philip J. Klotzbach/Dr William Gray April 2006 outlook.

6-April 10-14=Hurricane Conference,Orlando,Fla.

7- April 16= Easter Day.

8-April 24-28=27th Conference on Hurricanes and Tropical Meteorology,Monterey,California.

9-Around Mid-May=NOAA first 2006 hurricane season outlook.

10- May 15= EPAC hurricane season starts.

11- May 29=Memorial Day.

12- May 31=Philip J. Klotzbach/Dr William Gray hours before 2006 season starts outlook.


Note=If anyone knows the exact date when NOAA will release their mid-may outlook you can post it and I will include it at the important dates list.

Also if anyone knows of another important date that is not listed here please let me know.


Included two new dates,St Patrick's day and Easter Day.

We finally got some showers here in boynton beach... it was kind of nice although very light but, I kind of suprised me as I didn't expect any rain.

Even in 05' that didn't happen guys.


Not that i'm saying give up on that i'm just saying it's still highly unlikely. I won't mind seeing an early Alberto myself.

Sea Temperatures

Does anyone know what the sea temperatures are right now in the Gulf or in the Atlantic, or, MORE IMPORTANT, does anyone know how they compare with last year at this time? Even a map showing sea temperatures on 2006 March 14 (or whatever today is) would be good to have. I think this could tell whether this upcoming hurricane season will be as bad as last year's.
