Got up to 103 yesterday, tying a record. Currently it's only 79...but then again, that was at 7am. Yesterday at 7am it was only 72. It's supposed to get up to about the same temperature today. And if the temperature really only did fall to 78 degrees this morning, it would be one of the highest minimum temperatures ever recorded here (record high low is 80).

At this hour, it's 92*F outside with a heat index of 96*F, and it's not even lunch yet.

The NWS calls for 105*F, TWC called for 107, but now 106. Accuweather.....you don't wanna know.

To summarize, 24 counties in the North Texas region (including Dallas and Tarrant) are under a Heat Advisory, which may extend into Thursday.

Just heard they changed the heat warning to a heat advisory because it's only supposed to feel like *104*, not *105* what's one degree difference, it's still suffocation weather out there!

Now, it's 96*F (Heat Index: 100*F).

The Heat Advisory has now been extended and enlarged to cover the entire North Texas region until 7:00PM CDT Thursday.

Power outages at New York subways and LaGuardia airport. That's going to cause some serious air traffic problems today.

Stupid clouds. :grr: It could be almost 100 degrees right now if it weren't for them. As it stands it's only 93.

And i'm complaining about 92°? I don't envy those with 100°+ temps at all.

You're right, it didn't last. It's now 105*F with a Heat Index of 108*F under Partly Cloudy skies. According to TWC's new HiRAD technology, temps are now 106*F with a heat index of 109*F. The thermostats at public places are probably shooting up to 115*F about now.

98.6 here... ughhhhhhh. Today was the SEVENTH day in a row with a high of at least 95(though it hasn't hit 100 any of the days), but we have a good chance tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

I left work in nearby Columbia, at 5pm, and, it was 102°F. Forecast high was
for 97°F. Tomorrow's forecast high is 100° - I suspect the actual temp will
be higher dowtown on the sidewalks and asphalt when I leave at 5pm,
tomorrow!
