This really sticks! Everytime y'all plan a fun get-together relatively close to here, something always seems to be going on that weekend. I have to take a big certification test that Sat. morning. Then, DH and I promised each other a his/hers weekend: I party with my girlfriends Sat. night and he goes kayaking Sun. with his buds. So, I'll miss out again. :(
Y'all have a blast on P'cola! You really need to check out the Naval Aviation Museum, if y'all have the chance. It's not really weather-related, but it is awesome! We go every chance we get! Have fun! :layout:

OK guys...

I wanna do this RIGHT!!!!!

I checked the Bay Breeze Inn rates, and compared to what I think we can get and really have a HELLAVU time, I vote this beach house rental.

I'm real familiar with these rentals and have found it's the ONLY way to go... our OWN house ON THE BEACH...all the amenities including CD, DVD players, towels, etc. and OUR OWN HOUSE...did I mention ON THE GULF and OUR OWN HOUSE!?!

We would all chip in for meals and can go the the grocery sto' BAYBE when we get there.

Rates for 2 nights with 14 people (that includes the maybes) is $50 per person for the 2 nights, or if the committed group only shows it's $100 per person for the whole deal.

For heaven's sake, I'm almost forty (still fabulous, though) so the last thing I wanna do is be cramped up in a flippin' hotel worrying about having enough ice to keep my Corona Light cold, ya know?

Anywho, if you guys go for it I'll do the leg work and hold the place on my credit card. For this, versus a beach side hotel, I'd pay even more, but it looks like we don't have to, so PLEASE hurry up and let me know
b/c at this point the weekend we want is still open.

Someone mentioned the Bushwacker festival was happening that weekend... is it even taking place this year? I went to the web site and the most recent info I could find was from 2004. (It was postponed/canceled last year because of Dennis)
