How anybody can figure that out without recon right now is beyond me. There is alot of convection but ....well it's still a mess.

What is going on here... I leave work at 5 and its a Canada event and now all of a sudden people are saying its going to miss the trough to gno north? What gives?

Just some speculation, nothing in concrete yet......THe longer she takes to develop and get moving, the more of a chance it could get interesting.

Just some speculation, nothing in concrete yet......The longer she takes to develop and get moving, the more of a chance it could get interesting.

I figured as much.. was just more curious as to what the basis is.. isn't Florence moving WNW still?

I'd imagine it was probably Typhoon Tip, a Pacific Ocean storm in 1979. Incidently, it also had the lowest pressure ever recorded I believe.

I must stress that this is not going to be a fish storm since Canada could get a major blow which is the country i'm in. Even if it doesn't effect any land while tropical, it could still become a very powerful ex-tropical low and hit Europe and cause problems.

All I have to say about Florence is that she is growing by the minute - lets just hope this stays AWAY from any landmasses :eek: :eek: :eek:

I mean look at the size of it, if you count the very external bands she streches from like lattitude 65W to 35W :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

At that size, the chance of fish-spinning is virtually zero. It will have no room to go between the US East Coast and Bermuda, while still avoiding Atlantic Canada.

Some pro mets are saying she will encompass the entire Western Atlantic before all is done and be larger than Wilma and Katrina :eek: :eek: :eek:

Florence is currently sucking up 91L and is now part of its banding. It's like she is the mother ship out there and sucking everything with it.

The center is somewhere southwest of the main convection. Still shar is affecting it, but expect shear to really die down next 24 hours.
