When I smell a certain scented pipe tobacco, I get an instant memory of my great grandfather on my mom's side, sitting in his hospital bed(he had bad legs and couldn't walk) tamping down the tobacco in his pie before lighting it, with Uncle Henry sitting over to one side. My great granfather died when I was about 12 but that will bring him to life again for me every time I smell cherry flavored tobacco smoke.
Orange blossom give off a powerful scent that tells me it is springtime in FL. When I lived in Pensacola early in my marriage, I missed the smell of the orange blossoms. When I smell them I think back to when I was kid and and how many of the oranges I could eat and not get sick of them.
