Sleet falling in the Florida panhandle (some pics posted)

Just went outside a few minutes ago and there are ice pellets bouncing everywhere.Pretty cool stuff to see in FLOIRDA DURING APRIL!!!

Great pictures, Opal storm! Oh... I wish I'd snapped some pictures of the sleet/snow in the corners of the houses in our area. We loved spotting the snow as we drove home from Easter Mass yesterday morning. We had no idea it had even happened until we noticed that. It was amazing! Thanks for sharing your pictures.

I don't know if it was reported officially but I've heard a lot of people from Mobile say it did snow.

Well, it certainly looked like snow on the rooftops. We didn't actually see it falling. We only saw the aftermath. My sister did see sleet falling in the south part of the county. I think it was snow here, but the TV mets all reported it as sleet. The archived report from the Mobile NWS office for that day:
