Persistent convection.....

Convection is really persistent around the Southern tip of Florida and Bahamas. Does anyone thing this area has potential?

This time of year I think you have to be concerned about any area of persistent convection.

Its a flareup on the old frontal boundary in the straits. Lets pray it moves north. It looks like its moving ENE with the westerlies.

The shear is to strong in that area right now for anything to spin up... Im not saying it can't if the shear slacks off but right now the shear is to strong....

It's still May. ;) No potential. Not only does it have the sheared look, it is clearly adjacent to a large group of stable stratocumulus clouds.
