20 days until Christmas

#1 Postby JonathanBelles » Fri Nov 02, 2007 8:00 pm

I think the Christmas Season has begun. Christmas commercials, Wally World blowouts, mall super sales with Santas walking around. Today started an AFLAC Christmas commercial staring the Red Nosed AFLAC Duck. XM radio has started Christmas music as has other radio channels. Noel, with the lack of better pronouciation, has brought a holiday flavor. With TV productions being stopped, networks might be playing Christmas specials.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS IN NOVEMBER!!! lol

Joy oh joy!   I do like Christmas its just the money part I dont like! Every year on Christmas morning I read the story of the birth of baby Jesus to my daughter out of the bible. So she knows what Christmas is really all about. She's 7 now so maybe she can read some of it this year, shes such a good reader! :D

I like Christmas, but why start now? Didn't they use to start after Thanksgiving? Anyways, Christmas is not about Christmas trees or gifts.

I don't go shopping for Christmas presents, haven't in years (I bake if I have to give someone something), I just love the deocrations that I have and the inspirational music (I hate the commericilism). The hubby would love for me to keep the tree up all year and when we get a house I probaly will :D

BTW Chad, I can keep a secret, not all women kiss-n-tell :)

I'm really not seeing much in the way of commercials and whatnot. Of course, it will start to pick up throughout November, but what's wrong with that? I consider Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's part of our holiday season and Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away. No one said Christmas had to be about gifts and commericailism, that is of course, unless you let it be.

I can't wait for black friday. I'll wake up at 4 AM, like I normally do. But that day, I will have something to do and someplace to go. And, when I get home, I will be a hero. My wife will let me take a nap and watch football. Whee.

Now, if I can only figure out how to stay away past 9:30??!?!?!?
