Storms are right on top of the Omaha radar right now. Another 15mins we should get some clear shots but right now the storms are jacking with the reflectivity.

Where is denison and papillion? I can maybe find another radar site.

Sioux Falls is too far away and Des Moines is too far away. With Omaha fried due to lightning, pretty much can only get live data from video feeds from the TV stations in the area.

I can report that one of my friends, her step-dad is in the Denison area and he's an EMT. Initial reports on the EMT wires were 1 casualty and 40 injuries. Keep in mind, that was initial reports on the emergency channels. And a call for all available personnel to head that direction to help.

Oh wow! Those poor kids! There's no place for them to be able to take shelter. :(

Denison is NE of Omaha, latitude would be between Sioux City and Omaha.

Papillion is a southern suburb of Omaha.

Unfortunately, it will be a while until OAX comes back up since it took a lightning strike.

What concerns me is without radar, the NWS will have a more difficult time with warnings.

Then again, FWIW, the much of the Omaha area is under a tornado warning.

I just got an image stamped 00:53Z from KOAX....but all i got was 0.5 degree tilt and only Base reflectivity. May be coming back online. Data is starting to look a little wonky though.

Adds more insanity to the 2008 tornado season. And it isn't even halfway through! (Of course, the third quarter of the year is heavily dependant on the tropics)
