A few periods of light/moderate rain here today, but definitely nothing as impressive as what we saw yesterday here in north Orlando.

I FINALLY SAW A WATERSPOUT!!!!!

OH man it was so COOL! After 16 years of watching for tornadoes or waterspouts, I finally saw one on Saturday in Boca Grande, Florida. It was beautiful. The best part... I got it on film!

Next on the list, see and film a tornado.

The satellite pic lit up like a Christmas tree over S. Florida this afternoon. One round on the initial seabreeze, then the big EC/WC seabreeze convergence later in the afternoon. Active day of convection to say the least.

The good news is that there is no end to this wet period we are experiencing in FL, at least in the 7-10 day range. :D

3.9" weekend tally in my north pinellas neighborhood. after 2 months of getting screwed, i have received nearly 8 inches of rain since the first hefty storm of the season on june 13. nature does indeed have a way of balancing things out.

Some cells now starting to develop in Florida, one small set in the eastern part of the state and the other in the western!

Nothing here either. Supposedly a 60% chance today - but I'm not thinking that is gonna happen.

Still there are some pretty decent cells about at the moment though they aren't quite as evident as yesterday where they were coming in from the gulf one after the other!

Nothing going on in the entirety of Dade. I don't think we get anything today/this evening. The atmosphere just doesn't seem to "have it" today down here.

Hmm, looking at that latest picture, maybe something develops along an outflow boundary from all that.

Possibly Patrick we do sometimes get storms developing along those outflow boundaries so we have to wait and see. Very good complex of storms over southern central Florida and can't see Lake O. anymore thanks to cloud cover which is a good sign.

By the way, with the recent rainfall amounts, the lawn is growing like crazy. Before June it was almost dead, now it feel like you have to mown every day!!!
