why is it unreasonable to have schools closed even if it hits in naples? you want your kid waiting at the bus stop with 45 mph winds and tree branches falling down all around them?

as for the money, I am sure the people will end up drinking the water and eating the food they bought

Even with landfall I doubt Miami will get much wind...

Pickup isn't much it's in the mid teens to high teens at the moment...

Well, all of your 6 posts except for one was a diss on NHC. The nature of the beast is just that and when technology develops something new and improved in order to forecast a hurricane better, I'm sure that they will use it. Forecasting weather in general is not an exact science. Also, I'm glad that the schools are closed tomorrow. Many parents would probably keep them home anyway. The torrential rains will be bad enough.

Shear, dry air, and land interaction means college football on the tube next weekend.

Problem I see is even on long range radar I don't see much in terms of bands heading towards Miami...

Why would your parents keep you home due to Fay when you're in New Jersey?? They are being a little over-protective if you ask me. :)

The posts in this forum are NOT official forecast and should not be used as such. They are just the opinion of the poster and may or may not be backed by sound meteorological data. They are NOT endorsed by any professional institution or storm2k.org. For official information, please refer to the NHC and NWS products

Unofficially I call landfall in the Everglades near or just SE of Everglades City...that's about 60 miles ESE of Naples
