lol - Doc is that way, but I LOVE his articles/recaps! I'll get to it eventually.

I was talking about the van that snatched pre-island Miles and warned him not to go to the island and that they were on the side that would win. We couldn't see most of them... who do you think they were?

Well duh!

Of course you meant something less obvious. Should have known that!

I think they are Dharma people, hired by old Dharma folks that went into hiding after the purge. These new Flight 316 people were hired by some of the original Dharma execs. My 2 cents worth anyway.....they don't seem all that bad. They didn't harm Miles, just didn't have any use for him when he didn't give them the code answer.

Think back to Seasons 1 and 2. As we went into 3. We never thought any of our Oceanic Flight 815 survivors would get off the island did we? Well except for Michael and Walt that is. We fully expected the rest to be stuck there - for life. So what a shock it was when we realized Jack and Kate got off the island and back to civilization! So think about that shock. Up until recently we thought all the old Dharma employees had been killed, correct? Except for Whidmore who somehow can't seem to get back to the island.......try as he may. So again, what if Dharma Initiative never really went into hiding, that they've continued to operate and possibly still perform experiments on our Losties?

Makes you think doesn't it.

I caught a rerun the other day and I thought back to when we thought there were only 2 groups - our plane survivors and the others. The good guys vs the bad guys.

We have so many groups in play now, it's getting very confusing wondering who lines up where.

One thing promos have implied that I don't like one bit - our Oceanic 815 survivors are not going to stick together. They are going to choose sides. Now we know Locke was whacked out anyway and all mystical about that island. So anything he said, I didn't put a whole lot of faith into. Same with Ben (wicked man but he's our Darth Vader....LOL). But now Jack's all Locke-like - no longer interfering in what the island wants, etc. So I think this season finale will just blow us away. Old alliances severed, new ones formed, lines drawn into the sand. And dare I say it - someone we have come to know and love all these years just may die. But I don't want them to!

God, I love this show! he he

My only complaint about last night's episode was that Hurley was trying it to re-write the wrong Star Wars movie. . . instead of Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, he should have re-written Episode I-III . . . 'cause Jar-Jar Binks is ten times worse than Ewoks.

LOL!!! "Who me?" Jar Jar would ask! Yes, he was annoying. I kept hoping his head would wobble off. It probably did and they had to reshoot many times. His voice was very annoying but the way he walked - drove me nuts!

That said, my youngest in college, the Lost fan, didn't like it when Hurley picked on the Ewoks either. She and her friends have each brought their favorite assortment of DVD's to college and once a week they choose movie/TV show night (note, their fave is Freaks & Geeks, she's turned them into fans!) in her college dorm's common room. Among this assortment of old tapes (yes some are VHS!) are the old Ewok movies. She says I just HAVE to see these movies. They are a riot. Originally made for kids? I don't even recall movies being made about the Ewoks!

Okay, back to Lost.......
fun little TV Guide video, to get us psyched for the finale....as if we need any encouragement!

I was clearing out old shows recorded on our DVD and I had 3 Lost episodes. One going back to when Kate gives Aaron to Claire's mother. I fast forwarded over certain scenes but watched that last scene she has with Aaron, who's sleeping. I cried - again! Those Lost writers know how to grab the heart strings. I think I cried the most for what Claire has missed out on - raising her son.

One other thing - it's difficult to hit that delete button on a Lost episode. Even after watching them several times. Our DVR asks - are you sure you want to delete this episode? LOL I never want to delete Lost.......

We only have one season of Lost on DVD's. Maybe in time we'll have all of them.

Okay, just rambling on about my current favorite show. I love this show!

I still have all of the current season on DVR and I know exactly what you mean. When I go to delete stuff, I just can't delete those!

I don't know about you, but every once in a while, I'll get this lump in my throat and start to already feel the emptiness that will take over once LOST ends next year. What will I do with my life? What will I talk about? How many brain cells will simply DIE because they're not constantly coming up with theories, or thinking about someone else's theories?

There will never be another show as good as this one... it's just so unique and perfect in so many ways.

I know what you mean. I will be glad to get a resolution to the storylines, but at the same time I am seriously convinced that there will never be another show quite as great as LOST. It is a shame that so many people have abandoned it. The ratings have fallen quite a bit from where it once was.

IMO, one of the problems with Lost and viewership is that the show is unable to gain new viewers. Not many people have the time to watch 4+ seasons in a short period of time and those who don't won't understand the show and won't watch it.

Ditto on everything you guys said! Ah who cares......it's their problem if they didn't realize what an awesome show this was! I missed the first oh 6 or so episodes then heard how great Lost was. I started watching but was confused (of course!). I caught up with Season 1 over that summer, before Season 2 started. That was a great idea ABC had, re-airing the first season in its entirety. To attract more fans.

I don't know what I'll do when it ends either. It does hit you at various times, that we're almost done with this season and then next season will be very sad. Knowing the end is near.....I'm sad just thinking about it.

I don't think we'll see another show like Lost, again, if ever, for a long time. I remember people telling me how much more than a disaster type drama it was. I couldn't imagine what they were talking about. As soon as I put it into that Sci-fi genre too, I was hooked. How clever actually.

Kelly, our DVR is thru our cable company. Sometimes we have so many shows on it, it's close to 100% full. And then it begins deleting the oldest shows first. I'd rather clear them out myself, so I don't miss something (or before hubby goes on a delete spree, he used to do that....LOL).

Yeah MM, that's what ours does, too. But you can protect the show if you want and then it will skip over that and delete the oldest one that isn't protected. Ours is through Dish. We go through and delete stuff ourselves like you do, so that doesn't happen. We don't really protect much anymore since getting the HD receivers in January. We went from 100 hours on each dual receiver (we have 2, which is 4 rooms) on our old DVRs to 350 hours on each. 700 hours of recording time... it's insane! Since I record my favorite shows and many other things on each one so that I can choose to watch from the living room or bedroom, there's a lot of repeats on each one. Amazingly enough, because we set it to record so much stuff (a gazillion movies I plan to watch one day), we actually do get it pretty close to full. It's not hard to find stuff to delete, though.

And I'm addicted to HD. Jack and Sawyer up close, as if you're looking at them in person... ahhhh. Image

YES! We'll take it......gives us an opportunity to see Jack's tat too! LOL (not that I'm into tats mind you...LOL).

But I will say that although Sawyer's might fine to look at and admire, if I were Kate and had to choose between the two, there would be no choice for me. In a heartbeat, from day one..... it would be JACK! (my choice has nothing to do with a doc over a con man. It's a really good guy over a sometime shady guy......I always go for the good guys, LOL)

Kate's mixed up.

Let me talk to her....I'll make her realize which guy is right for her!!! LOL

But Sawyer has that pull over her and Jack knows this. This love triangle always reminded me of Star Wars, to beat a dead horse here. Until we learned that Luke and Leia were twins. Don't say we're gonna find out that Jack and Kate are related.....he he

*thwaps Miss Mary** :P

been there, had that conversation. . .and have t-shirt somewhere (or is that Sawyer's shirt :P )

I've heard too many incest jokes on the Lost podcasts over the last week . . . and I shudder at the amount of fanfic that probably has been written with the Star Wars meme in mind. . ..

Well at one time I wanted Leia with Luke. Then of course when you learn - there was a twin - your mind goes ewwwww! They even kissed! Again, ewwww!

But to this day if anyone asks me this question - Luke or Han - without missing a beat I always, always say Luke!

One of my daughters has a college friend who is a huge SW nerd. She asks this question when they go to parties and such. One time our phone at home rang and my daughter asked that question - so and so wants to know - Luke or Han? I said, Laura where have you been, you know what my answer is!

And yet Han was mighty fine to look at!

Okay back to Lost.......sorry for that SW detour, thanks Hurley!!!!

From Twitter tonight
Jack Bauer: well #LOST fans, 4-8+15-16+23-42 = -24. So #LOST = -#24. Draw your own conclusions

LOL! Math was never my strong subject.....but what twitter/twits are saying is that A. Lost is basically about Jack Bauer. Or Jack Shephard = Jack Bauer? LOL

I have enjoyed how Lost is continually mentioned on other shows or their forums, etc.
