*spoilers*

I gotta admit, that was a pretty insane season finale. I didn't think the bomb was actually going to explode.

I was expecting the bomb to have more of a part in the finale. The box was not a surprise, I quite near expected it. Bout time we got to see Jacob, and I dont think he is gone.

so, jacob sent Jack, and et al to out-smart "Locke" by changing what happened during the incident. . . or did the Incident play out as it originally did?

As always, thoroughly confused, just when you think you have one aspect of Lost figured out, more confusion sets in.

Nice to finally meet Jacob though.

I don't want to say I told you so, I knew it, etc. But there was always something "off" about Locke. Even for Locke, who usually was spiritual to begin with. ~This~ resurrected Locke was different. The old Locke wouldn't have lied to Sun and then admitted he lied to her. That one minor, minor detail to me was very relevant about who this Locke guy was. Ben should have doubted who this person was when he heard Locke admit he lied to Sun and then didn't seem bothered by the fact that he lied to start with! Are you with me so far? Yes very seemingly insignificant scenes do this to this fan - they stay with me. I knew when Locke did that, he couldn't be trusted. It's just a shame Ben couldn't see that. Was that because Ben himself has lied to everyone? His judgement is clouded.......doesn't see a disguise when it stares him in the face.

I didn't want Ben to stab Jacob. Hoped it wouldn't come to that.

Wow, so much happened.

And Juliet - not former forced to be an other, redeemed herself to be loyal with and to our Losties Juliet. Not Juliet. There haven't been many not-original Lostie characters to come along that we've come to love more has there? I hated to see her die.

But then what if Daniel was right? What if......that's the huge question here - what if Daniel was correct.....Daniel doesn't become murdered by his wicked mother, Juliet doesn't die, Claire gets to decide if she wants to raise Aaron or not (loved Jack's explanation on that storyline to Kate....), and Charlie - Charlie would be with us again. And Boone.....

Best line of the line (oh there were so many), Sawyer after Jack dropped the bomb - "this doesn't look like LAX!"

Next.......

I have a whole new theory! It came to me as I was blow drying my hair.....LOL

1. First, someone needs to go back and remember the specific comments Jacob said to each of our Losties last night, in their flashbacks. For example, he made Kate promise never to steal again. He told Sawyer, what's done is done. He told Jin and Sun to never be apart (forget the exact wording, how did it go?....). He told Jack something about getting two (candy bars) when you want one.

2. Soooooo, what if when Jack told Kate in the Season 3 Finale - we have to go baaaaaaaack Kate - he was right.

3. But, not back to the island. But back to 2004. Jack is just now realizing this important detail, pointed out by ever confusing but lovable Daniel.

4. So by Jacob going back into everyone's flashbacks last night and altering history here, what if the bomb does erase the crash of Flight 815?

If so......then we have:

5. Kate is no longer a fugitive because she never stole again. Why she'd be on that specific flight though, I'm not sure.

6. Jin/Sun - together, not just physically but emotionally. Thump.

7. Jack - yes bringing back his father's body, but he wouldn't have doubted himself all these years because Jacob was in a sense saying - you get a second chance in life (the next surgery).

Many, many others' fates would be changed by these minor but major interactions with Jacob.

Who is Jacob? God?

Okay, I'm off to work.....I gave you all something to think about.......they set us up for Season 6 didn't they? This show could very well end with our Losties back on Flight 815 about to land - in LA! Which now that I say this, sounds way too easy doesn't it?

From one of the early reviews:

All this has happened before and will happen again.

That phrase recurred frequently on "Battlestar Galactica," and if you saw the March 20 series finale of that show, you'll be able to spot the parallels to "Lost's" Season 5 finale.

Few other things to think about:

1. Is there significance about those Jacob touched (Losties) or the one he did not touch (Juliet)? maybe the Losties are constants and Juliet (and possibly Desmond) is the variable. .

2. the Jacob/Esau parallel?

3. is Rose and Bernard Adam/Eve of Season 1?

Entertainment Weekly's summary/recap by Doc Jensen is excellent, as always. 7 pages long.

He poses these theories lurkey.

I think it was significant that Jacob touched specific Losties but didn't touch or see Juliet in her flashback. For the record, she is the only other I have really, really liked. Richard? Well, he's better than Ben (used to hate Ben, now I feel sadness for how his life turned out). But Juliet proved herself loyal to our Losties. And then we lose her. I do hope she survives somehow. But then I still wish Charlie, Boone and Claire mostly (because of Aaron) didn't have to die either!

God I love this show....LOL

So, I have decided after watching the season finale, to start rewatching LOST from the beginning. There were many times as I watched the show that I felt the writers were just making things up as they went, but rewatching the show has opened my eyes to a lot of things that I didn't catch the first time.

I still think that Locke's backgammon scene of light vs. dark will come back full circle into play in the last season, especially considering we may have nuLocke. :)

Since I don't have the original source, I can't cite it, but I heard from a (generally reliable) little birdie that Adam & Eve will show that the writers knew where they were going from the get-go.

I've heard that too. . . but the general consensus in the Lost community is that it is Rose and Bernard. . .

Garrett - I have heard many Lost fans say this. In fact my college aged daughter who's an avid Lost fan with me wants to have Lost marathons this summer, her and her friends plan on watching as many episodes back to back as they can, around their part time jobs. LOL! They want to catch what we thought were minor details but apparently very important ones.

I enjoy early episodes because everything was still new. We were all trying to figure out what type of show this was. You couldn't quite fit it into one specific genre. It's also so nice to see characters we've lost along the way. I think I will almost miss Boone, Charlie and Claire. Sigh - Claire was the sweetest character (I know you'll say Libby was, that's okay, I liked her too). Other than the fact that Claire was an unwed mother, what terrible thing did she do again? Oh that's right......she's Jack's half-sis and daughter of Christian (who at this point we're all still trying to figure out where he places in this whole who's in control of the island game?)......

And for the record, I don't think Claire is dead.

Forgot to add, reminder:

The Sci-Fi channel is airing Lost reruns Mon. thru Thursday, @ 4 pm. Yesterday's episode was from Season 1, Ep 7, The Moth - Jack and Charlie were trapped in the cave in. Charlie's trying to kick his heroin addiction. Today's ep is the one where Sawyer hoards all the survivors' medications but Shannon needs her asthma inhaler. Sayid tortures Sawyer - wow, we've come a long way since this episode! Remember how selfish and what an absolute jerk Sawyer was back then? I HATED him!

Lost:

Damon Lindelof describes the show's finale somewhat cryptically:

We've been planning out the final season for four years now. And of all the talks we have had about the show, [reuniting all the castaways] is the subject that has come up the most. The ending was almost where we began, and we had to figure out how to get there. It's like a wedding where the reception is the part that requires the most planning and is the most fun to plan. We've exchanged our vows and I am ready to go party.

Sad about the long wait until LOST returns? Do you miss it already?

I may have an answer for you!

reWATCHING LOST

Gearing up for The Lost Rewatch - June 1st!

Gearing up for The Lost Rewatch - June 1st!

It has been almost two weeks since the season finale of Lost, and the announcement of the reWatching Lost event here at Docarzt’s & Friends Lost blog and the response has been tremendous. If you missed the announcement, you can check it out here to catch up with the rest of us.

First and foremost, we have retitled the event The Lost Rewatch, and DocArzt and Friends has teamed up with Lostpedia.com to bring you this great event over the long hiatus leading up to the sixth and final season of our favorite show.

In addition to Docarzt.com and Lostpedia.com, there are several other great sites that will be involved in this event, either with direct links from DocArzt.com or with RSS feeds on the main Lostpedia page for the event. Either way, there will be tons of great Lost content over the summer and fall for everyone to relive Lost.

Some of the great sites involved include:

* Sledgeweb’s Lost Stuff
* Get Lost with JOpinionated
* Lostaholics
* The Joshmeister
* All About Lost
* Jacob’s Cabin
* Lostpedia Blog
* A few other non-Lost related blogs

As a recap, we’ll be watching 3 or 4 episodes of Lost each week, based on the schedule here. Please note that based on that schedule we will start watching Season 5 before it is available on DVD. We are assuming that season 5 will be available either on Hulu.com by then, or on ABC.com. If it is not available at either place, we will adjust the schedule accordingly. However, we hope it won’t come to that, as the current schedule has us finishing all five seasons just in time for the start of Season 6 without too many episodes each week for an average person to follow.

What You, the readers, have to Do

1. Starting Monday each week watch the episodes designated on the schedule at your own pace. Just ensure you’ve completed them all by the following Saturday.
2. Every Sunday evening, visit Docarzt.com (or the Lostpedia ReWatch page) and read about all of the new easter eggs and additional analysis on that week’s episodes, based on what we now know from 5 seasons of the show.
3. Comment and let us know how rewatching the show now, gives you a different perspective on what might be happening on the island.

That’s it! That’s all you have to do. And we’ve made it easier than ever for you to keep up with all of the great content that the sites mentioned above will be publishing each week.
