I wouldn't get too excited yet because these are just sporadic reports but it still shows this system is a bit more stout and perhaps colder in the lower levels of the atmosphere than projected.
Keep us posted
Portastorm. Radar suggests sleet falling along the I-10 corridor near San Antonio as well as the I-35 corridor.

Actually, I can confirm that as well! My wife just texted me and said her good friend who lives in NE San Antonio said it was sleeting down there!

Hopefully my friend that lives down there is seeing it. Although my friend wants snow, not sleet. But hey you take what you can get, I guess.

THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR : Temps, roads, and evaporative cooling...
Is that coming from the NWS? I know you have connections.
Most of this is indirect info, so not exactly altough the reports, and cautions are from the NWSFWO and for the snow accum. totals my own professional opinion. =)

weatherdude20 so are you a meteorologist in the dfw area? just currious
i like those amounts pretty much along the lines of what iam thinking
heavy amounts i-35 points west. would not be surprised to see some
amounts over 4" in the western sections.

Yes, and isolated 4 or 5 inch amounts could be possible west of I-35 along and west southwest of a line from Stephenville to Mineral Wells to Decatur where temps should stay steady around freezing and could see the heavier snow bands...

10:15 am, sleeting in Waco.
Can the form of precip (sleet rather than rain) cause the temp to drop closer to the dewpoint?
