More cold rain for Austin and Houston. Forget it! Who needs that?!?!

Might as well be 75 and sunny so Wxman57 can do his cycling and Portastorm's kids won't have their baseball games rained out.

Next, please.

I hope you get blasted with snow next week, and us DFWer's only get a dusting to an inch. That multi-inch was cool when it was falling, but I was ready for it be gone the 1st day. The kids didn't even want to play in it anymore. They got soaking wet and cold. Throwing snoballs is fun and all until your gloves get soaked through and your hands turn numb. Yes, we have no true winter weather gear for events like this. :)

Sorry iorange. That was enough for me. The kids already have 1 day of school they have to make up. I suspect that's gonna be one of the days they had off near Easter. Which will put a damper on a trip we're planning. Unless it happens on a weekend, then no mas.

If I have a choice, I'd rather have sunny and 85-90F for my cycling weather. 75 is a bit cool.

Just wait for them to pull the handle on the GFS machine in another 6 hours. Maybe you'll see a run you like?

12Z GFS raw data meteogram. It indicates surface temps above freezing but colder air aloft.

Oops. Sorry! When I clicked on the 12z link and saw "THUR" at the bottom I assumed it was the 12z run updated.

I don't ride my bike regularly like you do, but I do ride it sometimes, usually in spurts. Anyway, 75 seems like the perfect temperature for me. I tend to ride more in the fall and spring. I remember during the summer, when it felt like 700 degrees outside, I just couldn't wait for winter and knew I'd be riding a lot more in the winter... couldn't wait for the cold weather. Well, umm... I haven't stopped shivering since sometime in November, I believe. Maybe early December. This has been a very cold winter! I've gone through a ton of firewood and my electricity bill hasn't gotten that winter break it usually gets. I used to laugh at the Snuggie... I got a Dallas Cowboys one for Christmas and I love it... it sure helps keep me warm at night when I get on the computer or watch TV.

I still want snow, but shorts and flip-flops don't sound so bad right about now. I'm sure I will regret that statement sometime in the future, probably when I try to walk to my car, dressed nice, and a few feet later, sweat is dribbling down my face and back. Yeah, I know. Ewwww. :P

As long as we get at least the 2 inches to break the record, I hope everyone else gets snow dumped too! ECMWF is actually looking stronger with the low than previous. Of interest, Nogaps has snow for all of North Texas.

If you're sick of cold rain, raise your hand.

So basically the European looks borderline for Houston as far as any frozen precip goes?
