Big flakes here, too! And I just witnessed something I thought I'd never see. My son just got on the school bus in the snow! :P

Snowing in H'burg too. Not sticking to much but it's still wild that we've now have 3 snowfalls in the same season.

I agree. 3 snowfalls in one season is wild! And they're saying we have a chance to see 2 more in the next few days.

I feel so left out! just about everyone in the south has seen snow but me! still nothing but sleet just once this winter! I keep missing the snow by only 30 miles away! I have one last shot next week, but it isn't looking too promising!

Here are a few pix I took this morning. Unfortunately, all good things must end. The snow ended before 8 AM and now the sun is peeking out. We got a good dusting of snow, here. Odd thing is, 3 miles down the road from my house there was no snow on the ground and very little on the rooftops.

Taken from my front porch. The old house in the pic is now my barn :P Image

I had a little bit of sleet here early this morning, now it's just a cold rain.

That first map, will that be rain over me or a winter mix?

12z GFS how snow for no one...typical GFS going back and forth, just like the last snow storm. Last nights Euro was a hige snow storm for the deep south, including the Gulfcoast

The GFS is a pos. I don't know why we bother.

Anyway, all the other models still show a big snowstorm. I'm discounting the GFS as an outlier unless something really changes.

The Euro also gives the Gulfcoast from Louisiana to the Florida panhandle a HISTORIC snow event. I refuse to get excited! :double:

I don't know about central Alabama, but I'm on the coast and we've lost most if not all of the dead or dying limbs from the trees already! It's been such a stormy winter, we've had piles and piles of sticks, big and small, for the trash pickup every time they come by.
I'm trying not to get excited about this, too. Just watching for the trends...
