It seems like he's almost as big as Hurricane Ike was back in 2008. Is he??

Igor takes a sizeable jog to the NW at the end of that animation. Could just be a wobble but it looks like it is a classic stair stepping action so I think the more N motion should continue over all.

Igor is fairly large but it's not even close to the size of Ike, at least in terms of the extent of the windfield. Igor has hurricane-force winds extending up to 45 miles with tropical storm-force winds up to 225 miles. At landfall, Ike had hurricane-force winds extending up to 120 miles from the center with tropical storm-force winds 275 miles from the center. I can't remember if it was larger offshore or not but if it was then it wasn't by much.

yep, IKE was unwound after interaction with Cube....that interaction expanded his windfield making a Cat 2 storm with a Cat4 surge....

Igor is right on a collision course with Bermuda, and yes he definitely took a stair step jog to the NW, but will probably jog back to the wnw shortly after that. He should continue stair stepping that way until he gets to 60W, and then take a more definitive jog to the NW and then NNW. I think Igor will pass just to the west of Bermuda or around 65.5-66W and they will get the biggest lashing since Fabian.

The question will soon not be about where it tracks, but how strong it'll be when it gets there. I don't think it'll be any weaker than a Category 2, and there's a good chance of Igor still holding on to major hurricane status as he makes a close pass by the tiny island.

It doesn't look a whole lot worse than it has for the last few hours. The eye has been rather ragged most of the day, it probably has more to do with dry air intrusion than anything.
