That is what the Canadian showed last night Rock..it is a different system but indicative of some of the globals wanting to pop something out of the NW Caribbean with all the lowering pressure.

I wonder if this system forms on its own or does it get a spark from the east.

That doesn't seem that far fetched to me...Didn't Wilma camp out over Cozumel for quite some time before turning towards the North and then NE towards FLA?

This phantom cane has the strongest support I have ever seen

All models are now on board with development in the NW Caribbean. Still ten days away, so track is gonna swing back and forth but development is likely imo.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
200 AM EDT SAT SEP 18 2010

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON HURRICANE
IGOR...LOCATED ABOUT 530 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF BERMUDA...ON
TROPICAL STORM JULIA...LOCATED ABOUT 1525 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF
THE AZORES ...AND ON TROPICAL DEPRESSION KARL...LOCATED INLAND OVER
SOUTH CENTRAL MEXICO ABOUT 75 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF PUEBLA.

A BROAD LOW PRESSURE AREA CENTERED A COUPLE HUNDRED MILES SOUTHWEST
OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS IS PRODUCING DISORGANIZED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS APPEAR SOMEWHAT CONDUCIVE
FOR SLOW DEVELOPMENT OF THIS DISTURBANCE DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF
DAYS AS IT DRIFTS WEST-NORTHWESTWARD. THERE IS A LOW CHANCE...20
PERCENT...OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.
