NWS and local mets disagree. Local mets are saying mid 20s if we're lucky today. NWS says lower 30s.

Too bad DFW Airport was like 1 mile off the heavy snows (5+) to be in the books. Fine line from Dallas to Tarrant counties.

Wow I thought out to the west they'd get more with bands moving in overnight.

This was also unexpected around here. This is one of those sneaky storms. I'm on my way to 5-6+ inches.

We got less than Portastorm. A layer of ice, then that lumpy stuff then maybe .1/4" of snow on top. Sun is out but I don't hear melting yet.

Cold water pipe in kitchen froze. Was fine up till sometime this morning. I'm hoping it will defrost without breaking, our next door neighbor lost hot and cold but the ice melted and they're workin again.

This is pretty much just like last year. Except not quite as much, but I mean besides the difference on the trees you can't notice much different between last year and now.

Can't see the sidewalk, or street. Birdhouse has a pile of 7 inches on top of it. What a week this has been.

Lol, you are correct. I was just looking outside and if you look at where some snow has blown away from the pack you can just tell powerdy it is. Looks like you could stuff a pillow with it and sleep on it.

I have a feeling we'll see a lot more "firsts" next winter too.

I stayed up till 5 watching the snow last night and woke up around 9 and couldn't believe it was still snowing. It was a great thing to wake up to.

We had that happen in 1983...luckily the pipe didn't break.

Worried about my outside faucets.

WIth this much "weather" we will not see melt off this weekend likely; therefore, with the potential system coming in next week that has been forecast, does that mean there will be an opportunity for snow on snow on snow? :)

Sounds intersting.

Well, we have about 6 inches here, and it's still coming down. My neighbor has a old Porsche parked by his pool (yeah, I don't know), and it is almost buried by snow.
