Leslie track inching towards the Hebert Box mark of 20/60. All Major SFL hurricanes, except for Andrew, that have landfalled in SFL from the east passed through the Hebert Box.
IMO, the day 4/5 points show uncertainity b/c of the weak steering and if that track begins to bend back west starting today Leslie could be a potential CONUS problem. If the Leslie track still shows recurve out to sea after today, then my confidence in a recurve is much higher. Todays model runs will be within 72 hours of the critical recurve or ridge building position, so we should get a higher confidence after today.
