THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
EASTERN CHEROKEE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS...
WESTERN JASPER COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...
NORTHWESTERN NEWTON COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 845 PM CDT

* AT 820 PM CDT...A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
A TORNADO WAS LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 12 MILES
NORTHWEST OF CARL JUNCTION TO GALENA TO BAXTER SPRINGS...AND MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH.

HAZARD...DEVELOPING TORNADO AND PING PONG BALL SIZE HAIL.

SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED ROTATION.

IMPACT...MOBILE HOMES WILL BE HEAVILY DAMAGED OR DESTROYED.
SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO ROOFS...WINDOWS AND VEHICLES WILL
OCCUR. FLYING DEBRIS WILL BE DEADLY TO PEOPLE AND ANIMALS.
EXTENSIVE TREE DAMAGE IS LIKELY.

Neither is Fox News. Of course shepherd smith is looking at traffic and saying those people waited too long to get out of town. How does he know they are evacuating and not just stuck in traffic trying to get home from work?

Well they just mentioned St. Louis.

Governor of OK said she has heard of at least 5 deaths from people on roadways in OKC area.

I really do not see the need to get in the path of a tornado as strong as the one's today. Mike Bette's is lucky to be alive after getting hit by such a violent tornado.
