:uarrow: To add other big districts closing Monday will include Plano, Lewisville, Frisco and Mckinney. Most of the Tarrant county northern districts will also be closed. Little Elm, Weatherford, Granbury, Anna are also included on the list.

My wife just drove from south Grand Prairie to Irving to get closer to her work in the morning and stay with her sister(she made it thank God). She called and informed me that traffic on I-20 was at a standstill and parts of Beltline were closed due to ice still. Monday morning commute is going to be nasty. It might be wise to have the kids off one more day. It would not hurt. Keep the school buses grounded.

Have a hotel booked at Winstar on Tuesday night, and was planning on driving up tuesday evening. Anyone think the roads will be in good enough shape then?

Yeah. I have a co-worker who kept asking me on Thursday "when's it gonna snow?" & I said "it's not gonna snow. If we get anything at all, it'll be the worst kind of wintry precip possible." Then she got upset. Later, I overheard her talking to another co-worker about how big of a snowman she's gonna make & I was like "it's not gonna snow." Then another co-worker said to her "you can hit him whenever you want." Needless to say I just shook my head & moved on.

For Rockwall ISD, it'll depend on the Hwy 66 bridge condition since a small part of Rowlett is in our county and ISD. Maybe a 2 hour delay.

Grayson County update from Brett Graham, head man of Graham's Truck Center in Sherman, Durant, and Paris. They've been working their tails off to help these stranded truckers on Hwy. 75. Here's what he says about TxDOT's efforts today in GC:

"75 has been cleared. At least in Sherman Denison area but all the way to river. They were plowing 82 late this afternoon. Listen to me carefully.....tomorrow morning is going to be extremely dangerous. You'll be on a road that is fine and then all black ice. Side streets and intersections will be most dangerous....By late tonight most of the trucks on the highway should be towed and gone, but it will be likely at least two days before the trucks in the parking lots like SAMs and Walmart will get out."

I strongly agree with him. Ensembles are following suit to the OP's of major NE Pacific ridge rebuilding hooking up through Alaska/Siberia. We will see a full latitude trough retrograde, first effecting the northeast US later this week, likely to follow is a full Arctic attack from the Rockies to east coast this time probably with a less -PNA.

@BigJoeBastardi: Tweeted 3 weeks ago this would be a tough month for NFL games. ECWMF ensembles say no reason to back down. Plenty of ammo in arctic gun

Havent had time to look at models, what are they saying and what do you think will happen. Last I checked of the forecast, temps were expected in the 50s this weekend.
