@TxDOTBWD: Eastland crews are plowing and treating roads. Ranger Hill WB lanes are backed up. Travel discouraged. #txwx http://t.co/ZhUuUoooVT

Radar showing snow all the way to my place. Hopefully it will moisten up the 925-800mb level faster than modeled.

Moderate to heavy snow here in Trophy Club, it's already accumulating in the parking lot of my school. Hoping they cancel school after 10:30 when the district makes there money for us being here.

This going to be an interesting Friday evening commute given if the snow falls heavier and sticking to roads faster than grassy areas. Lots of early dismissals trickling in.

I'll tell you one thing ... if you North Texans whine or complain again about not getting snow, those of us south of Waco are going to slap you!

Enjoy your "event." That is all.

Those early dismissals are always tough. Hope everyone gets home safe. I think everyone saw the 1-2" forecast and thought things would be OK, but not so with temps in the mid 20s.

Ryan Maue tweets another round of cold next week.

https://twitter.com/RyanMaue

I love cold, but with a son playing high school baseball and another running track, nothing I hate more now is sitting in the stands bundled up watching what is supposed to be two warmer weather sports in forty to fifty degree weather. Football I can do in cold, not baseball or track. So, bring on the heat! :sun:

We just need to rename this thread "North Texas Winter 2014-2015". I'm past the point of frustration. Bring on Spring!

PORTASTORM, I'd gladly give you some of this snow if I could. The PWC and greater Austin is WAY OVERDUE for some appreciable winter weather!!!

In this case, having the storm going a little further south than expected is a good thing

Yeah, I'm with you on this. My youngest boy is playing in a varsity baseball tournament today/tomorrow in Fredericksburg. Their forecast today is a high of 36 with a 20% chance of snow/sleet! Those BB-core bats will be exploding like Fourth of July firecrackers in that cold.

What's interesting about the longer range is that the longer range models are showing a cold March for much of the CONUS east of the Rockies, but some of the medium-range models at the end of their runs are showing not so cold. We shall see.

Yeah, the flakes are a little bigger, but it's definitely coming down harder now. Roofs are covered, cars covered, grass is starting to collect.

Looks pretty neat-o outside! Too bad I am having to work inside :(
