I love cold, but with a son playing high school baseball and another running track, nothing I hate more now is sitting in the stands bundled up watching what is supposed to be two warmer weather sports in forty to fifty degree weather. Football I can do in cold, not baseball or track. So, bring on the heat! :sun:

Yeah, I'm with you on this. My youngest boy is playing in a varsity baseball tournament today/tomorrow in Fredericksburg. Their forecast today is a high of 36 with a 20% chance of snow/sleet! Those BB-core bats will be exploding like Fourth of July firecrackers in that cold.

What's interesting about the longer range is that the longer range models are showing a cold March for much of the CONUS east of the Rockies, but some of the medium-range models at the end of their runs are showing not so cold. We shall see.

And that is a two hundred to three hundred dollar firecracker too! I hate BB Cores.

Attention Lucy: "@NBCDFWWeather: Snow lovers, enjoy this. It's pure, unadulterated snow. No sleet, no ice...at least for the next several hours. Cud get icy tonight. #dfwwx"

Yeah, the flakes are a little bigger, but it's definitely coming down harder now. Roofs are covered, cars covered, grass is starting to collect.

Looks pretty neat-o outside! Too bad I am having to work inside :(

It is really coming down, heaviest I've seen all week.

Parking lot is completely white here, I know for sure my school will keep us until 10:30 at least, but if we're here till 3:45 and it snows for most of that time then it's going to be a nightmare trying to get home. Especially for being the first time for me to drive on snow.

DFW, assuming today and tomorrow will have 6 days (in February) of a trace or more of wintry precip recorded officially. Tomorrow should we get any will be 7. Remember the talk in late January? Never give in February.

That is actually very surprising and hard to believe.

It's true. Lubbock has been in a weird anti snow hole. A lot of 2-3 inch events but the big ticket storms have occurred either in Amarillo to their north or Midland to their south. Plainview nearby gets clobbered a few times but not Lubbock as of late.

Strange, even the Toledo Bend area got that at least once last year.

@TxStormChasers: Folks are going to find out why 1-2 inches of snow at 26°F is much worse than at 32°F - It all freezes on the roads. #dfwwx #txwx

Seems it started earlier than forecasted last night. I wasn't expecting this to start until about 11am here at 75/Bush. I'm heading home after lunch to work from home rest of the day. Hopefully the drive isn't terrible. Glad I have a window view from work though. Isn't it perty?
