Same up here in DFW. A thin glaze was put down overnight on top of the frozen slush and snow with more on the way. Stay off the roads today if you can. Good thing today is Saturday. Currently 27 degrees. Will take a while to start melting.

Always like it when the Chief Meteorologists work on the weekends. We got Pete Delkus live on channel 8 and he is calling for a high of 34. We might not see much melting at all during the day.

Up along the Red River, 24 and very icy this morning. Thin dusting of light snow and ice overnight to add to what fell yesterday. Road in front of my house is a solid sheet of ice/snow now. Was wet most of the day yesterday. Going to be a rough day of travel.

Even here in south Austin, many surfaces glazed over. My dogs wiped out sliding on the iced deck. :( Thank God its a weekend and not a workday. 31 in my backyard. Stay indoors and be safe everyone.

Light freezing rain falling in Denison, cars and trucks are entombed in ice and crusty snow. Roads are solid ice. Quite a wintry morning for the last day of February.

I'm hearing that EWX is about to upgrade the WWA for Travis and Williamson counties to a Winter Storm Warning due to the severity of icing now occurring.

Well, it ain't much. But it's at least something. And I know you'd rather be the snow capitol of Texas rather than the freezing drizzle/rain capitol of Texas. But look at there, Portastorm and company got a Winter Storm Warning on the last day of February! Who would have thought this possible just two or three weeks ago? Stay safe and enjoy the wintry day down in ATX.

Don't see this every day in our state's fair capitol and the home of the PWC headquarters in scenic southwest Austin.

Portastorm country is the only spot in the state under a WINTER STORM WARNING at the moment.

I just woke up and was looking at the alert on my phone for like 3 minutes before it got through my sluggish brain of what I was actually reading. :froze:

About a tenth of an inch of ice is coating the backyard patio, playhouse, and roofs. Light freezing rain falling and 30.6 degrees. :cold:

Pretty sure that if all of that somehow managed to happen - or even happen in that general direction - then this thread would literally EXPLODE.
