Lake Lavon is nearly 4' above pool level and continuing to increase. Ray Hubbard is <1' from normal level. I noticed on the drive to work this morning that the flow release from Lavon has stopped.

Texarkana received 4.5 inches of rain last night. There is moderate flooding a long the Red River north of Texarkana. There were also several reports Tornadoes in the Texarkana area last night. FYI, a game warden friend of mine pointed out that Texoma has come up 2.38 feet in 24-hours, not 4-feet as I erroneously threw out there.

Texoma was at 622.20 yesterday morning and is at 624.58 this morning.

I had used the reported level from the Corps' web site yesterday morning as my starting point, but the reading wasn't real time and was actually from Saturday sometime.

Meanwhile gorgeous day today to get out and work on our yards which Im sure most is lush and green. Low dewpoints comfortable with sun so get it done before humidity and rain comes again.

Some quick mental math estimates about 4-6 cubic MILES of rain in the Texoma watershed. Sounds about right.

Sounds like a coworker of mine had her house hit in Van last night though I do not know to what degree. This is the second damaging storm she has had this year. It is scary knowing how close that storm was to my house.
