Re: Texas Spring-2015
Had a lot of rain last night in SW Houston. I measured 8.85" at my house. Street flooding but we're far enough from Brays Bayou so as to have no flood threat from it. Couldn't make it to work (by Hobby Apt) until 10am, as Hillcroft was flooded north and south of me as was W. Belfort (east/west).
Can we have a little DRY weather now?

This picture is reported to have been taken at Pedernales River, upstream from Lake Travis before and after yesterday's rains
That does look like the Perdenales, I have been right in that spot with the dogs. There are signs up saying that it is subject to sudden flash floods from storms upstream. Cool pictures.

Sunny and humid here, it seems ripe for storms. There are a couple popping around Breckenridge and a a nasty looking storm west of Del Rio along with scattered storms in SE TX.

I hope he is right because that is a nasty cell west of Mineral Wells headed this way.

Very slow moving storms popping up around the metroplex, watch out for flash flooding. 8-10" radar estimates out in Palo Pinto county.

Tornado's haven't taken as many lives this spring but flooding sure has. What was a great thing has become very deadly. Some of the stories out there is just heartbreaking with just the past couple of days a lot of Texans were lost and many more are missing. You just have to take humble at the extremes we can go from one to the other.

This video was shot on the Red River at Pecan Point(North of Dekalb, Texas) at 11:30 this morning(5/26). The river is expected to crest there Thursday afternoon at 34.1', which is 3 inches below 1990 levels. The river was at 32.8' when this video was shot.

Re: Texas Spring-2015

Tons of rain west of the metroplex has fallen this afternoon and evening. Flash Flood and Flood warnings in Eastland, Stephens, Palo Pinto, and Erath counties. Looks like over 10" locally in Palo Pinto county with 4-8" over a large swath of the rest of the counties.

Man! Tonight was crazy! We were out in it all night in Arlington, Grand Prairie, Cedar Hill. The lightning was incredible. Joe Pool Lake is ferocious looking right now. I have never seen anything like this.
