Wouldn't it still be a Mid latitude cyclone, we all ways described 30-60 Degrees North or South as the mid latitudes in my Atmo Class. Looks like it's going to pas 60N soon though.

DFW set another record high today, we hit 84 which broke the old record of 79 set back in 1928. 2 record Highs in 4 days.. Merry Christmas..... Bah humbug

I can't believe the timing but maybe it's just one of those winters with wild swings like other la ninas

0z GFs is running, over/under KAUS gets snow on this run...any takers? I'll say over

Nah, we had 2 consecutive GFS runs with snow. My guess is the 0z has frozen precip in North TX only or takes away the precip altogether for a cold/dry front.

It kind of looks like the event that happened before the first December blast. Southeast Texas got a lot of rain with it.

GFS is warmer Wednesday/Wednesday Night so far, more precip to the west Wednesday Night though

Edit: Widespread snow Wednesday Night spreading east towards DFW, mix just south. Cold air coming south

Yeah it has a lot of overrunning with system to the west still. KAUS gets a mix

Would love to get that kind of snow pack with another quick cold blast that wouldn't modify much or at all. Then maybe we could get in on some kind of action even down closer to the coast.

By day 10 we have cross polar flow and pretty good cold anomalies pouring into NW Canada.
