He is in a really, really bad place now...sustained winds of 120 he just said. Visibility is next to zero...

IDK how those trees are still standing in the background...I honestly think he may be in a mini-meso...winds coming from different directions...

They're next to a building so they're protected.. a little.. plus they're Sable Palms and those do great in hurricanes.

He's going "back out" to shoot 4K video. Not sure if brave, stupid, or both, but credit to him.

Re: ATL: HARVEY - Hurricane - Discussion
So the question is - in the absence of any other data, what would you set the landfall intensity at?
At this time, I would personally set it at 120 kt. That is based on improved IR presentation since Recon left. If no site near the eye, I'd set the landfall pressure at 939mb.

There is a reason...they dont want to die. There are limits and I dont want to be watching when someone passes that limit

I mean... people obviously want to see it. Natural disasters are fascinating. Up close footage of hurricanes, tsunamis, volcanoes, tornados. That poop is very interesting. And he's getting amazing footage, which is rare and hard to get. I REALLY want to see his 8k video he is outside shooting right now. That's gotta be phenomenal.

Amazing how much more we can see live of a major hurricane landfall versus the last time we saw one in the USA. This type of live footage from Jeff P's stream wouldn't have been possible during Hurricane Charley.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.
