Incredible Alaskan -EPO block. There is still room for stronger runs even. There are even more extreme ensemble members.

its starting to move up in time too... the CMC has it at the end of the run

I can't believe the 384 hour GFS may have actually latched onto a real idea. :lol:

Still a lot of time for details to change, but that’s 13 model runs in a row showing big cold coming and 14 of the last 16

The 0z GFS shows a 1051mb high into Missouri. What a crazy run, wonder if we see more of these.

Would be a crippling ice storm if verified, considering we barely get above freezing 4 days after the precip.

The great thing about this is it will bring rain and snow to the SW.

This pattern should finally break DFW's streak of no single digits. This is looking scary similar to 1983.

That cold wave shows up 3rd in the CPC analogs for 8-14 days.

the warmest temperature on the entire GFS is tomorrow at 69 too

Temps have been trending down even before that front generally
