Good Morning!
WOOOHOOOO! Today is the last day of work before VACATION, have I mentioned how excited I am? "LOL!" Yup.......like Steve said, boomers and rain in the forecast ALL week long, even some rain forecasted for Albq, Santa Fe and Taos......but hey, vacation rain is different from working rain "LOL!"
David, this time of year, the HUGE swing in temps is nuthin' unusual, it's cuz the air is so blasted dry. After the monsoons, the RH drops from 60-70% daily to 15-30% with the dewpoints in the 20's to 30's. No wonder the flu bug and cold bugs are runnin' rampant on the mountain now! October, Nov are the best months IMO to live on the mountain, no monsoons, the tourists have gone home, the summer residents are packing and leaving, the fall colors are kicking in BIG TIME, ski season hasn't started yet and the WEATHER is PEEEEEEEEERFECT!
Steve, try not to work too hard eh?
Jackie, glad to hear ya beat the bug! Ya know, Wally World IS a great place to work, have fun!
Ed......don't ya HATE that? You start ONE simple project that makes one room look great then you SIMPLY HAVE TO do the rest of the house to make it match! We did that last spring, even though this is a new house still, well kinda "LOL!" When they textured the walls and ceilings, then shot the paint, they didn't completly clean the kitchen and bathroom floors, we started scrubbing the kitchen floor by hand, next thing ya know, "Ah geesh honey, now the bathrooms need it!"
That's nuff outta me, make it a GREAT day would ya? OH.....BTW, only one more day till vacation, have I mentioned how excited I am? "LOL!" Down boy, DOWN! We aren't leaving until Weds. a.m., we (or should I say "MICHELLE") needs one whole day to pack!

Good evening folks!
Ugh, what a day! After not working for two months, I worked my butt off today! It is so chaotic trying to figure out where all the boxes go, and where all the stuff in the boxes go!
I survived though, the only thing is I have to do the same thing over again until Sunday! I go in at 8 and get off at 5, with a one hour lunch break I will work 48 hours this week! I need it though so I can't complain! Well, I do have one little gripe- the weather is FINALLY gorgeous and fall like, and I have to miss it all! Temps are supposed to head back down by Sunday- my day off! LOL, that's the way life goes!
Well, I need to grab some dinner becuase I am starved!!! Have a good night everyone!

Good evening folks!
Well, I never did make it to the Blood Drive - I gave it at work.
I didn't get home until 8:00 pm. My job has the funny ability in the 8 years that I've been working there of finding a way to interfere with you personal life and plans. It's not just me either, but everyone that works there. I liken it sometimes to a leach!
Anyway, Jackie, I'm glad that you have found a job. I'm sure that you'll get everything down pat in no time!
Dennis - have a WONDERFUL vacation and be careful when you travel!
Steve - looking forward to seeing those pictures of Emma!
I had alittle more frost on my car this morning. The weather is supposed to warm up a bit during the week to about 70 - break out the shorts!!!
I hope everyone is doing well. Have a great evening!

"GOOD MORNIN'"
Guess what??? "We're on VACATION!" WAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOO! Taking today to make all the final inspections on the Dodge, change the oil, warsh it etc, etc then pack! MAN.....I thought this week would NEVER get here! This has been our best year by FAR business wise, the Good Lord has blessed us for sure........I never dreamed our business would take off like it did, we had a plan when we started this business 5 years ago to retire *again* in 10 years, it's right on track, only 5 more years and I can retire for the 2nd time, I'll be 49 yrs old.
Not much else going on, just so excited about leaving in the a.m., I'll try to stop by one more time before leaving, I'll be back late Sunday night, early Monday morning, meanwhile, keep the home fires burning and I'll see y'all when I return!

Good morning to all those gathered around the Pot Belly Stove!
It was another very chilly and frosty morning here in Spring Mount, PA. The temp dropped to 34 degrees. But we are expecting to warm up in the next dew days.
Dennis - have fun on your vacation!
And I do hope that you will be able to retire in 5 years.
Stephanie - I know what you mean. My job always seems to be the most demanding of my time when I have lots of stress/issues in my personal life. It never fails.
Jacki - Sounds like the job is keeping you very busy. The best weather always happens during the week here (when I am at work), but it rains almost every weekend.
Well, I hope everyone has an awesome day!!

Dennis- I hope you have a FABULOUS time on your vacation!!!!!!
I'll be around guys, but it is time to RELAX!!! Have a good one!!

One more *quickie* before I go....Hey, get yo mind outta da gutter "LOL!"
Got everything done on my list, packed, detailed the Dodge, funny, before we go on any road trips, I "have" to have a clean vehicle, obsessive?? Maybe.... but that's why the Dodge (circa 1989) is in showroom condition!
The weather?? "Rain, rain, rain and MO' rain!" Even some "SNOW" in the high country, at the highest peaks of course but hey........"I'll take it!" We hit a high of 50° just a second ago, temps have been hooverin' around 45-48° all day long....needless to say, we had a fire in the *True Pot Belly Stove* all day long, sure felt good!
Well folks, this "IS" my last post here till Sunday evening, take care and keep the fire stoked!

I'm glad I came in. Fire was almost out. The coffee pot had burned dry, and the animals really had to go outside.
OK, everything is in order except the coffee pot will have to soak for a while.
Happy hump day everyone. Work is a pain, as usual, (actually my supervisor is a pain - the work is good)
Well, everyone have a great day!

This space for rent.
Ed saved the day! What would we do w/o you? Okay who took the last cup of coffee, I want to know? LOL
Beautiful day here in Cincinnati! Compared to last week (hints of winter) this has been a very pleasant week, wx wise. So each day I try to paint one or two more windows.....big job, but we're saving $$$......hubby says our next house will be all brick, vinyl clad windows, and poured concrete patio. In other words, very low maintainence.....he he. One of my big stipulations was that we have stained woodwork, first and second floor when our house was built. So naturally, they stained the windows too.....but boy oh boy, wood exterior windows take a beating......we've painted them at least 4 times in 14 years.
And what do we have this week around Storm2K......a birthday party!!!! Happy B-day S2K!!!! Once again, so glad I found my way here.....thanks Skywatch_NC/Eric for referring me to this fine, fine place!
Have a good day everyone!

Afternoon everyone!
I am healing from bronchitis. It is a slow process but I count my blessings that is all it was.
Belated best wishes to Dennis on his vacation.
I brought some hot chocolate if anyone wants some.

Hope you get better Garrett!!
Good evening all! Short and sweet, I am pretty exhausted tonight! After work today, I came out looking like I got mugged! I have bruises head to toe: if ever I have worked hard before, I killed it today!!!! But I feel proud of myself because I made it through it!!
One more HAPPY birthday to S2K, and I am ready to fly, have a good night y'all!

LOL, Ed, what would we do without you?
Thanks for
takin' care of "bid'nis" around the Stove! I swear, Miss Mary,
I did NOT take that last cup of coffee...
You're painting?
My Mother cannot wait for me to be off from work, on
the weekends, so, she insists on killing herself to paint the
porches! Then, I get home, and, she tells me how tired she is,
and, how her arthritis hurts, and, how she's running fever!
Wait for ME? No way...gotta get done...! So, I am making her
wait until I am off on Saturday to do the rest of it - I made
her PROMISE! Ohh, parents - whadda DO with them? LOL...
Good luck with your painting adventures!
Garrett, you better get to feeling better! Unfortunately, it's
the time of year for bronchitis, with the weather changing,
and, such. Get lots of rest, and, if you're coughing too much
to do that, make the doc give you something to help you
rest - it's essential!
Jacki, just think of the $$$ that you're making! LOL, you
GO girl!!!
I was reading Dennis' post, and, he said "warsh" the Dodge -
LOL, brought back memories. My Dad had an 8th-grade
education, and, spelled things like he heard them...there's
still an old bucket, out in Mom's garage, that we used to fill
with soap to hand-wash our cars.....Dad wrote on it, and, it
reads "Car Warsh". I get a kick out of that!
Happy trails, Dennis! And, the rest of 'ya, have a
wonderful night!

Oh yeah!... the almighty "r".. .. ..
Garrett, I hope you get through your bronchitis as soon as possible.
My sister and her husband arrived yesterday for a week visit, but to my parents and my surprise, one of my brother's came with his wife. They said they were planning this surprise for several months. They were going to come by themselves next month.
Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!

Gee, I'm glad you stopped by Ed!! We could have had a DISASTER!! Just think what it would have been like if the animals hadn't been let out!!!
Wouldn't have been much fun to have to rebuild the room if the coffee pot had burst and caught fire either!!!
Garrett, glad you are recovering!! Ithought you souned a little hoarse in a few of your posts.
Flu season has hit early here in Houston and they fear it could get bad since most still have not had their flu shots. Seems to me I am hearing this from several areas of the country. I hope we don't have a severe, somewhat uncontrolled outbreak!!
Tropics are less active for the moment so I may have some more time to visit here. Looking at a rainy day for myself, but we do need some more of the moisture since it hasn't rained in two weeks, at least not enough to do much good.
Well, I gotta get busy!!! I'll catch all you wonderful people later!!

Good Morning all,
It's another beautiful day here in the Burgh. Temps to go to 70° today. Geez I wish I could go golfing.
David, thanks for getting that pic Gallary thingy taken care of. We should have no problems with crows now that you have a permanent scarecrow in the Gallary. lol
Coldfront, enjoy that family visit.
Hey Breeze, do you really think your Mom is going to keep that promise!!!!!! nahhhhhh She's probably bull-headed like me.
Stormcrazy you're doing an excellent job - keep up the good work. I hope you get some rest soon.
wx247, thanks for the cocoa. I hope you're feeling better today.
Miss Mary, I'll come over and help you paint!!! I love to paint. If you get the stuff ready and clean up when I'm done, hey we can get those winders done in no time then on to the deck!!!!!!
Ed, looks like you're the HERO of the day. Crouton has a really RELIEVED look on his face. Here's a big box of KK's just for you. Oh, the chocolate covered one is for David.
Hey Steve, have you recovered from that vacation? Hope all is well with you.
I know Dennis and Michelle are having a ball!!! They deserve it.
Well, I'll warsh the coffee pot out and put on a fresh pot. I need to brew a pot of Earl Grey for Miss Mary and Raine and anyone else who may have acquired the taste of this delicious blend of tea.
Have a great day everyone

Hello Wxbuddies!
LOOK WHO dropped by for some cider, Krispy Kremes and fellowship on this nice Autumn afternoon!
I have to watch my cholesterol so can't have too many, anyway.
Well, last week it was really nice and cool here but this week seems to have returned temporarily to some tropical-like 70s...plus the moisture index...yesterday at work it felt like a sauna at the ole' copy center where I'm employed...part of it may be due to my "cold-natured" supervisor...yea she knows I'm "hot-natured"...but still likes having the thermostat set around 75. :o
My job is going wonderfully, as are church activities and the family is doing well, too!
Thankfully these KK's are non-caloric yet VERY tasty!!
Have a Great Rest of Your Afternoon, EveryWxone!
All for this time-around...
