Yeah we're on day two of the posts where "what I want to see" is posted like "what I definitely see"....It's definitely still stationary and at 130mph it's still a cat 3 and on the edge of a cat 4.

Yet the posts of "it's a cat 2" still exist.

The organization of the core and eyewall hasn't looked very good in the past few hours.
It almost looks like an ERC is trying to choke off the inner eyewall.
Maybe someone with more experience in this could chime in?

Here's a slice from GR2Analyst from the Miami doppler.
It looks like a larger eye is forming.
We're only seeing ~12000+ echos though.

Can we have an explanation for why users are spreading rumors about people with NO verifiable information?

season_canceled is this funny to you? Some of us know Josh in real life.

The Melbourne radar has a similar return. I know we’re only getting the tops at this point. Trying to dig up the right IR view.

Power outage in central wpb, about 7 miles from the coast.

The elementary school next to my grandmother’s house is completely dark. She still has power as of now.

Can a pro-met explain this from the 11pm NHC Discussion? “After that time, the models are in general agreement
that the ridge to the east and trough to the north will amplify.”

This is the first time I have heard any mention of the ridge to the east strengthening. The whole premise behind Dorian stopping its western movement was due to the weakening/ erosion of the western edge of the ridge.

If the ridge strengthens faster/ more than the trough, wouldn’t this induce a more westward motion?

Well, it's definitely not showing what's going at the surface. But it's accurate at those heights and has continued to show decay in the organization at that level through the day and is starkly different from landfall yesterday.
I question what this means for Dorian's future when the presentation on sat IR has improved.

The Bahamas don't have "large" trees, as the elevation and watershed aren't enough to support any appreciable fresh water table for big trees to plug a tap-root into.

This is not true at all. Gand Bahama was mostly a pine forest before it was cleared:

One more response... Small world. Your username is CryHavoc. The RBRDS (royal bahamian rafting and drinking society) is a group that frequents the sound house in hope town Bahamas and that is our battle cry.

Someone from the group is there almost year round. It's almost surreal that hope town was ground zero. The info coming out is scarce and scary.

The sound house is not even a half mile from Abaco Inn where Jim Edds rode out the storm. You may know him as @extremestorms where Josh is iCyclone.

TWC just said 7 confirmed deaths. 1 was a Florida man prepping for the storm.

I'm in Palm City also. I was just noticing that the last 15 or 20 minutes our winds have been picking up. Other than the occasional rain band, it's been very still most the day till now.

Glad to see another palm city person. I fled but I’m still glued to it.

I can't remember watching a storm sit still so long and start building cold tops like this.
