That Baja energy is the key to it all, when and how intact does it eject?

It will be too warm by then. I think it will be a month before our next winter weather opportunity. Not being a debbie downer, but trying to be realistic also

That would be our luck but hopefully not

Austin and Shreveport are mentioning a chance for wintery mischief as the upper low transitions to a Gulf low mid week.

Would not surprise me if every place in Texas besides DFW experiences winter weather in the next week

Hey, that’s ok! If CTX got snow I’d be happy, especially in November. Any Texas snow is good Texas snow to me!!! (even if I’m hoping it hits DFW first ;) )

NAM again insisting that the Rio Grande Valley will be in the mid 30s with a lot of moisture during the day on Tuesday.

18zNAM....checking the profile and also weatherbell it should be mostly rain with some sleet mix in. IF the NAM were to verified.

Ntxw, i have one question. Which phases of the mjo moving forward promotes a colder stormier pattern? The ones we are getting out of but just a little early in the season or others? I am just confused with the neutral pattern we are in currently.

I have been watching the Canadian model for this event? It has granted CenTX nothing until the last run. It is trending westward with precip, even gifting Austin, Western Travis Co with .01in of snow and freezing drizzle. I am following the trends!!! I believe it got the last icing/flizzard event right...awhile back...#Hope

I get a Monday off so I will be looking forward to the front coming through tomorrow. I always enjoy being able to witness the wind shift and sharp drop in temps. It is the simple things like this that make me love weather. A true weather nerd!!!

12Z 3km NAM shows a brief changeover from Rain to Frozen Precipitation tomorrow (Monday) night between 9 PM and 3 AM for parts of Central Texas (Hill Country mainly).

Moisture appears deep enough to allow for some post-frontal precipitation, but a chilly and dry High pressure will settle over the area early Tuesday morning keeping the window brief for frozen precipitation. Because of this the NWS isn’t expecting any significant ice accumulations.

Should be fun to watch how quickly the temperatures drop and how much moisture remains before the trough clears the region tomorrow evening. Maybe the cold air will overperform and the stars will align allowing someone in South Texas to see a few frozen water droplets Tuesday morning.
