Recon plane is flying in circles again. Might be another search and rescue, but they’re still high up.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

They are now heading towards the SE quadrant.

Inner-core towers are firing off.
She's tightening up.
Running into that high theta-e is doing the trick.

Well, now they’re heading into the southern part of the storm. I’m anxious to see their center fix for Hanna because they’re an eye-like feature at 96.5W while they last reported the center at 96.0W.

The eye looks quite large on radar, possibly over 40 nm wide. We'll see if frictional convergence can help it shrink in the last couple hours before landfall and boost sfc winds.

Still close to 96W if not 96.1W, hasn't moved much since last fix an hour ago.

06z HWRF has a 970mb landfall. Not only possible but more than likely at this point.

Not an meteorologist! Just someone who is interested in weather. Please refer to the NHC and local weather officials to make decisions.
