Maybe the cmc isn’t wrong after all if it stays on the weaker side it will head further south.

Thoughts?

Isaias ended up being a pretty small storm considering how large the wave it came from was! I guess that's related to all the dry and shear that's keeping a lid on its strength? Either way, probably for the best, lol.

Not sure how long this dry slot may last.

Outflow is starting to move into the dry slot.
Feeder band convection is moving moist air into the west side of the dry slot with evident gravity waves.

With recent weakening trends I wouldn't discount it. Especially since the last few radar loops has shown the center on andros at the moment. It should be really interesting to see where its located after said landfall. It could definitely have track implications

With it slowing down it will have around 20 hours over some of the warmest waters in the basin, not saying it will intensify but claiming this will be a dud for Florida seems overly optimistic to me

Getting some strong winds here in Boca. Got a 40 mph gust. Probably won't get any stronger winds than this.

That looks like a pretty good jog to the west in that radar loop as it goes over the island..

We have seen our fair share of small cyclones in 2020 so far. This has been the theme for sure!! SAL, dry air have contnued to impact them greatly.

However, the fact we have seen these cyclones develop in the face of these adverse factors truly makes this record season even all the more remarkable.

Wind shear is lower and decreasing where Isaias will track on approach to NC- maybe it will be able to pick up steam again here, especially with the gulf stream.

I am only a tropical weather enthusiast. My predictions are not official and may or may not be backed by sound meteorological data. For official information, please refer to the NHC and NWS products.

Isaias will be a coast scrapper all the way from Palm Beach County northward.

980 extrapolated from Miss Piggy. Assuming that they haven't changed the calibration mid-flight, pressures are on the rise.

Big west jog there.

The eye also covers the entire south end of the island.

Is shear relative to storm motion? Say the storm slows down some more will it be able to combat the mid level shear over florida more effectively than running head long into it?
