CAPE also increasing in the Theta-E ridge.
Up to 3500.
Nana is going to walk into a powder keg.

Holy smokes, we even have a well-defined inner-core too. This is definitely an RI candidate if we see some convection going near the center.

Means it was likely closed since some point early evening and overnight.

and yep. overall environment would suggest RI is possible.

Yep I simply meant the center has to north of the NHC position of 16.1N

I'm sure if ASCAT would had caught it this morning it would show the closed circulation.
Last night it was probably bad timing in which the closed circulation opened up briefly before closing again this morning.

I'd expect a special advisory soon that now expects a hurricane peak.
