Well Olaf would be the benchmark storm in such case. Eta needs to get her eye sort out.

This is Gilbert level stuff. Reminds me of Typhoon Dianmu in 2004(a 870mb candidate)

It's going to be close, I can feel it.

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

Do my eyes deceive me or does Eta appear to be moving between SSW and due South?

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

Maybe 895mb and then all the way down to 888mb as the last mission ends?

The November record is impossible to determine, since the 1932 hurricane had a 915 mb reading OUTSIDE the eye with hurricane conditions. That could have easily been a sub-900 storm.

Fantastic news as it could be possible for Eta to strengthen all night till landfall!

I remember there was a bit of disappointment that Patricia peaked in between recon flights so thankfully for Eta we should know exactly how deep this goes!!

Gray showing up in the eye now, looks like satellite eye temps are positive.
