I have no idea what those images are that you're posting, but I get that they're showing some form of wintry precip at different time intervals. Since you've posted those over several days, I wonder have we reached the time frame where any of the earlier one's you've posted can be scrutinized for accuracy? Maybe keep a screenshot of these to see just how close they resemble reality when we get to their time frames. I see them when you post them, but I don't know if they're to be taken seriously, or eye-candy and entertainment purposes only.

The storms are 3-7 days apart, likely to change, but no sign of anything that could drop the chances for snow, currently trusting the Ensembles more than the Operational Models until there is more agreement on the timing & amount of Winter Precip. that is still coming.

I'm taking them Seriously when it's this close right now, but it used to be like "Well, Look at this!".

Don't want to do the Loop because Ensemble Member 20 in COD Meteorology (Where I'm getting the GEFS Ensembles from) is kinda weird . . .

This is likely why the FW forecasters are so bullish and willing to exclusively predict it. They often mention "national forecasts" and my belief is the statistical forecasts provided by the WPC.

It's probably too early to dive too deep but there's a deep arctic boundary that may set up for a highway of strong frontal dynamics. We'll have to see, some impressive snow totals of over 20" was had in 2011 where the boundary was in Oklahoma and Arkansas back then.

Thanks. I have noticed that the later graphics posted are either moving the wintry precip further south, or extending it. Seems like a good thing for us Tx folks.

Weather Underground gives Houston a VERY small window for snow on Monday. I've played that game before and usually bust. Not buying it this time.

It was brutal! I remember walking the bottom of Lake Arrowhead wondering if life was ever going to return to our lakes. We got out of the drought with a few days of flooding and torrential downpours. It was craziness!
