First initial heavier band has hit. Pretty intense, though not like some places west. But, it takes time for it to ramp up once it hits often. Starting to get pretty heavy and bigger flakes.

Using weatherunderground, i can see to the decimal point of my PWS. 32.6 now and has been dropping. 29 in Victoria, so basically the cold front is coming from the south for us. So interesting. I say 6 pm for Houston metro area is when things lock up and shut down. Still all rain. The worst.

Question. How does this cold air sucking heat from the GOM impact the spring rains in TX. E.g. what happened in 1899 WRT rainfall (especially N. TX) in the Spring?

Heavy snow north Fort Worth, wind picking up. Looks like 2 inches, come on another 2+.

Looks to be a gap once initial band comes with more behind.

Long way to go several more hours. Then another batch will come up from the south for another round of light to moderate snow around midnight and after.

Yes, that band is at least 200 miles wide on the Southern end especially.

It's pushing more east after it moves past I-40, but it's basically stationary over me south of I-40

I'm having the Oklahoma jackpot! :jump:

2.5-3 inches of snow has fallen . . .
