Minor but significant changes vs 12z. Heights are a bit higher over Nova Scotia, Northern Stream is detached, System is deeper/slower/south shifted. Extrapolatingg out, probably not the odd ejection that 12z had.

Yep - The slot is El Paso, get the trough there or south and Texas gets hammered

DFW low records on Feb 3 & 4th are 14 and 8 set in 1996, snowfall records are 0.2 and 2.6 set in 2011. 3 of 4 look possible

Keep in mind that the Euro was by far the worst model for last year's big cold front. I wouldn't pay much attention to it. The Euro doesn't even have below-freezing temps for SE TX. Sounds good to me, but I don't buy it.

Im forecasting a half inch of Snow for Dallas, hope I'm not over estimating

Why don’t you share how you come to that conclusion?

I checked the local weather forecast.

I just hope the near blizzard isn't lost to sleet. A bit concerned about that. Hopefully the column crashes quick

Had a dreadful November, December and average January. February is looking so promising and this all seems eerily familiar! :froze:

A little quieter than I expected. The calm before the storm. I need my hit of pages of info. It’s like an addiction. Lol.

The Calm before the Storm is the Preparing before the Storm, that's why it's so quiet, we're getting everything ready for this.

Not quite sure why he is taking the Euro run as verbatim despite the fact that it's an outlier...Morgan always adds a bit of sensationalism so I tend to take his forecasts with a large grain of salt.

So do I, but I'm shocked that he called it early!

Globals have settled in and hi-res models are just coming into range. So just kind of rehashing things at this point until the hi-res models really start cranking.

Yeah we have been getting grocery delivery ready. Almost got a generator, but don’t have a switch, so not worth it.

I forgot to mention the trough seems sharper and maybe slightly more negative in the 18z Euro, so good trends there beyond the location change mentioned earlier.

I like that the bug has resolved.

It was a lot busier this morning before the Euro scared off some with weaker constitutions. They’ll be back, like a moth to a flame.

Eeh the Euro was just watching one her native sons win the Australian Open earlier today. Now it is back to being serious about weather. I am overly excited to start seeing the shorter range models kick in this week. Wife and I have already made our preparations if necessary. Crazy few days coming up.

Well since I probably won’t get any winter weather, maybe I can get one heck of a rain storm tomorrow. Models are hammering my area with over half a foot of rain.
