Lot's of kinking on the line near DFW, don't be surprised if there is a tornado from one of those.

Getting close to some rotation on radar just west of me, but nothing concerning yet. But, as we get deeper into the day, could get worse.

I see two of them, one on the northern end of I-820 and another one on I-20 just south of the Center of Fort Worth.

UPDATE: They are weakening, hopefully that is the case here.

Got an inch, so a significant rain event at least to get something decent. Hopefully will get more this afternoon, but it seems like the morning activity is heavier. Supposedly the big stuff was going to be this afternoon. The question is...was it early or is that still coming?

The line came in quicker than expected so what just came through will be the bulk of the rain today. Later, when the low passes us overhead with the actual cold front, more rain is possible this evening. Tomorrow should be a gorgeous day with dry air and cool temps.

Storms seemed to have moved through faster than the models were showing. That might allow for recovery and storms firing farther west this afternoon than what was originally forecasted. The HRRR seems to be trending that way, so DFW will probably see on and off rain with potentially another line of storms this evening.

12z GFS is a cold run. Snow chances on the 4th of November for lots of Oklahoma. Building up a nice source of cold air for a big shot south. I can see that forecasted neutral PNA starting to work its magic.

SPC has expanding everything westward with the afternoon update

:uarrow: That would be nice to get another good round. As a matter of fact it hasn't stopped raining here in Irving. Still some light drizzle.

That line out west has really blossomed and is moving fast. We could have 45 mph gusts later tonight also.

DFW airport got 1.22" of rainfall today. Second line coming doesn't have the dews but forcing is better so the svr thunderstorm watch is up out west. We might be able to muster an additional inch! 2" total would go a good way before Friday's event.

Getting hosed over here in Longview so far. Showers weakened considerably and have stayed west/north. Unless stronger convection can form before the main squall line, we'll be counting on that to give us our rain.

I’m not expecting much of anything down here in southeast TX. Looks like rain chances are decreasing for the area over the next 10 days.
