Euro a little further south on this run aligning more with the ICON in terms of the ULL track. Euro definitely remains the most bullish on bringing snow further south into TX.

Temps with that system have dropped in the local forecasts. I hope you are correct. By the way, how did you like your snowstorm in Denver yesterday? Lucky.

It initially was a bust! I was sketch about the storm going into it. They were looking for closer to a foot in the morning, and woke up to 3", but the ULL hanging over the area kept sending band after band into the area. I ended up with 8". It's very difficult to forecast here. Models dont have a good idea of what will happen with storms coming from the west. Im starting to get the hang of whats to come, so there are little surprises for me.

Headed your way next week. A night in DEN, then Breck, Vail and then back country alpine skiing via helicopter drops.

Latest Euro ENS mean snowfall output....

Regardless of winter wx, this system looks like the first chance of widespread rain in 2023 for many parts of Central and NTX. South Texas is a little thicker with the Euro looking really good but other models aren't as generous with the rainfall. Most of the state along and west of I35 is off to a dry start.

Looks like maybe some changes on the 12z GFS. Energy is much more consolidated and digging into Northern Mexico but will it still eject as a mess?

ETA: Ejected nicely out across Texas, just need a bit of a south trend for NTX

Mslp on this run is higher to the north. Not far from a really major event. That deformation band. Track is so critical. Blizzard of 09.

Heading into Canada, rounding the ridge. Sharp dive south incoming.

Def looks like a W Falls to C OK bullseye with that. I hope it goes a bit further south so I can get a few inches. It would nice to bullseye, but that's so rare here I don't ask for that anymore. Lol. I could see 2-4 inches with trends, more likely on the 2-3 inch side. But, that's better than nothing and to get accumulating snow several years in a row after nothing is a win.

Yep, coldest air on the planet shifting to this part of the globe... -50F temp anomalies now showing up, Euro Control/CFS has been hinting at this for 1st of Feb as well!
